Tips on what to do in Tatras on a rainy day
Are you going to the Tatras, but the weather is not good? No worries, even on a rainy day, the Tatras offer many options for active rest and leisure time. You get the unique opportunity to learn about the culture, history, gastronomy, and other services offered in this mountain environment.
1. Relaxation and fun in the water
Most Tatra hotels offer wellness services. During a rainy day, you can spend time in the hot tub, sauna, swimming pool or treat yourself to massages or other procedures. In Tatranská Lomnica, for example, there is an indoor wellness at the Lujza Major hotel, where you can use the comfort of an infrared sauna and a Finnish sauna, a relaxation room, or cool off in a bathtub. The Kukučka Hotel in Tatranská Lomnica also offers such services. If you stay at the Hotel Ovruč or the Lake Resort at Štrbské Pleso, you get access to modern wellness in the abovementioned hotel.
2. Never get bored thanks to MYAPLEND
Children do not like to be bored. Visiting Tricklandia in Stary Smokovec is a pleasure for younger and older visitors. In addition, you now get the opportunity to take advantage of a 20% discount on admission as part of the MYAPLEND benefits program. The same benefit can be used in the children's interactive gallery Dobrá hračka in Tatranská Lomnica, the digital gallery Poliankovo in Tatranská Polianka, or the interactive light gallery Kvantarium on Hrebienok.
3. Monuments with history
Would you like to know more about our high mountains? Choose from several exciting museums and galleries that explore the history and culture of this region. The most famous is the Museum of the Tatranský National Park in Tatranská Lomnica, which has several exhibits displaying the flora and fauna of the Tatras. And the culture?
