1. Trails available all year round

A family hike can be an experience in any weather. The Tatras have a fairytale atmosphere, especially in winter. One of the "classics" everyone can handle is the route from Starý Smokovec to Hrebienok. The route is on an asphalt road, so feel free to take even smaller children in strollers. It starts at the bottom station of the cable car, then follows the red sign, and it's about three kilometers to the final destination. When you're in Hrebienok, don't miss the opportunity to see the Studený Potok Waterfalls between Hrebienok and Bilíková chata.

2. A piece of the British royal family in the Tatras

These days, you can already admire the famous Tatra Ice Dome. A visit to Kvantarium on Hrebienok can be a surprise for children as well as adults. It is a gallery of light offering a multimedia tour, including a laser show or drawing with light, but you can also learn more about some physical mysteries here.

5. Starý Smokovec from a different perspective

Do you want to get to know Starý Smokovec from a different perspective? Then, tour to the Pekná vyhliadka lookout. It is an easy hike, leading to the cross with the highest Calvary in Central Europe.
